Andrew: It’s interesting watching the maturity that Beckett has in this. In other episodes she would have run out into traffic after this guy with blinders on and ended up running off a roof like she did in ‘Always’. But there’s a maturity to her in this, much more tactical, much more emotionally detached. She wants to take this guy down, but she wants to do it in a smart way. It’s part of her arc of growth.

David: She’s not really willing to throw her life away anymore. So it’s a simple and clear way to express that.

Rob: Look at the guy, the hand, decision time. Not gonna run off a roof anymore.

Castle crew on Twitter + episode commentary + describing Stana’s water scene in "In the belly of the beast"

Andrew: She did a lot of the stunt work here, Stana did. We had somebody in, but she wanted to do a lot of it.

Rob: I don’t think I used the double except when I couldn’t have Stana. So, Stana did every single shot that she was available to do, which I think was 95% of them. I couldn’t even tell you which shots aren’t Stana. I would just play along that every single one of them is.

Andrew: You wanna make the entrance interesting, memorable…and somewhat, you know…ridiculous. I mean…look at these three people; she must be thinking: ” What the hell am I walking into?”

(…)

Stana: *smiling* It was great that moment.

Rob:” She was also very concerned she would look…”

Jon & Seamus:”Pretty?”

Rob: “…bad enough. And so I promised her that when we were in the color timing I would make her look like a cadaver.(…) And I remember emailing her saying “By the way just let color time and you’ll look dead. *laughs* And she wrote back “Thank you.” I said “The only actress in Hollywood would say “Thank you for making me look dead”.”

Seamus: “That’s our Stana.”

Rob Bowman, Seamus Dever, Jon Huertas, Tamala Jones “Rise” commentary

"This is a really sweet moment because she’s accepting him back, but he’s saying “Look, if you really don’t want me here…” and it’s a nice little dance that they do. This is where they’re saying they like each other without saying they like each other. One of the reasons we wanted that line for Beckett “See you tomorrow” is that in the end of season two, in that episode, the last thing she says is “See you in the fall”, and it’s more with a question mark, and Castle says “See you in the fall”, but it really is unresolved, and now that things are back, things are normal, we’ve reestablished the relationship. "

Rob: It’s on a neutral territory, there is also innocence to it -
Seamus: Of course, it’s like two kids talking about their feelings.
Rob: The purspose of the scene (…) which is, you know, “I wanna be your girl, I wanna be your girfriend, I wanna be that special person. And I will as soon as I get this thing out of the way because I can’t commit for both”; and it gives Castle, you know, a reason to hung in there. But there is no doubt that he has been very patient with her struggles, but it’s just a testament of how much he loves her, which I think it’s…incredibly cool.

“Just really quickly, if you know me, and you guys - you know me, you know that I don’t like to learn anything. But despite my best efforts, I have learned in 100 episodes how much I rely - on how heavily I rely - on all of you. When people tell me, and they do, that they love this show I don’t think of the polished piece that we see on TV, I think about the hours we pull, the freezing outside, the laughs, hanging out, and being here. And I appreciate you all, and I look forward to coming to work and being with you all, all the time. Thank you very much.”

- Nathan Fillion speech to the cast and crew of Castle during the party for the 100th episode

If you could play any superhero in a movie, who would it be?

"Rob Bowman, who’s one of our executive producers, directed Elektra and I didn’t know that. Elektra was the first character ever that I auditioned for. I was so new that I drove down from Toronto to Chicago to read for the role, at 18 or 19. I thought that was a really neat piece of kismet. And then, Frank Miller drew me as Elektra and gave me his personal edition of the Elektra comic book that he had drawn." (x)
